Fire Drill Background: A simulated explosion caused by a gas leak in a high-rise building resulted in the emergency transfer of three critically injured individuals to a ground medical facility. Traditional aerial ladder trucks have limited operating height (maximum 80 meters), and the internal evacuation routes were blocked by dense smoke, making the rescue extremely difficult.
The VA-S33 drone took off within two minutes of receiving the command, located the three critically injured individuals using thermal imaging, and transmitted their location and vital signs data to the command center in real time.
First Transfer: The VA-S33, using its intelligent hoisting system, smoothly lifted one critically injured individual (weighing 75 kg) along with a stretcher (total weight 120 kg), completing the transfer in 3 minutes. The individual’s vital signs remained stable throughout the process.
Second Transfer: Under the threat of fire, the VA-S33 employed a “rapid evacuation mode,” simultaneously transferring two critically injured individuals (total weight 180 kg) in 4 minutes, a 73% reduction compared to the traditional aerial ladder truck’s single-transfer time (15 minutes).
All three seriously injured people were transferred to the ground within 10 minutes. The medical team confirmed that there was no secondary injury, which verified the feasibility of using tandem heavy-load drones for the transfer of injured people in fires in super high-rise buildings and bought critical time for the “golden rescue period”.
