Fire Drill Background: A simulated explosion caused by a gas leak in a high-rise building resulted in the emergency transfer of three critically injured individuals to a ground medical facility. Second Transfer: Under the threat of fire, the VA-S33 employed a “rapid evacuation mode,” simultaneously transferring two critically injured individuals (total weight 180 kg) in 4 minutes, a 73% reduction compared to the traditional aerial ladder truck’s single-transfer time (15 minutes).
All three seriously injured people were transferred to the ground within 10 minutes. The medical team confirmed that there was no secondary injury, which verified the feasibility of using tandem heavy-load drones for the transfer of injured people in fires in super high-rise buildings and bought critical time for the “golden rescue period”.
