A sense of technology in disaster relief efforts
On June 8th, a 300-kilogram (kg) heavy-load drone slowly lifted a 160-kilogram (kg) electric pole at the Dulongjiang flood and mudslide disaster rescue and relief site and smoothly transported it to a designated location 800 meters away. This drone, the largest of its kind in the disaster relief effort, adds further technological sophistication to the Dulongjiang disaster relief efforts.
A key player in fire drills
The VA-W280 participated in a fire drill in Shaanxi Province. Equipped with an optronic pod, it overcame visual limitations and clearly located the drowning victim in real time on the turbulent river surface, providing critical coordinates for rescue operations in complex waters. Coordinating with a maritime patrol boat, the VA-W280 quickly and smoothly transported the injured to shore for prompt medical treatment. The entire rescue operation took only seven minutes.
