VastArrive D15R High-Pressure Cleaning Drone for Residential Property Cleaning in Luxembourg
Project Overview
In July 2026, the VastArrive D15R high-pressure cleaning drone was deployed for a residential property cleaning project in Luxembourg.
The project was initiated by a local property management company and involved cleaning a solar PV system, a slate roof, and gutters. The property had approximately 320 m² of roof area, including a 9.6 kWp rooftop solar system covering approximately 40 m².
Instead of using scaffolding, elevated platforms, or rope-access personnel, the project adopted an integrated cleaning solution consisting of the D15R high-pressure cleaning drone, a ground-based high-pressure pump, and a 100-meter high-pressure hose.
The drone carried the cleaning boom to the target areas while the ground pump continuously supplied high-pressure water. From site setup to completion, the entire project took approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.

The Challenge
Traditional High-Altitude Cleaning Requires More Equipment and On-Site Labor
Cleaning roofs, solar panels, and other elevated building surfaces often requires scaffolding, lifting equipment, elevated work platforms, or rope-access personnel, depending on the building structure and working conditions.
For this project, there were three key challenges.
First, the slate roof had a relatively large cleaning area and contained moss, lichen, and other surface deposits. A simple low-pressure rinse would not provide sufficient cleaning performance.
Second, the property included a rooftop solar PV system. The cleaning process needed to remove accumulated dirt while using an appropriate cleaning approach for the solar panels rather than applying the same cleaning method across all surfaces.
Finally, conventional high-altitude cleaning requires workers and equipment to operate close to roof edges or other elevated areas. Site preparation, equipment transportation, and work-at-height operations can all add complexity to the project.
The client therefore needed a solution that could handle multiple cleaning tasks while reducing the need for personnel to work directly at height.
VastArrive D15R Solution
A High-Pressure Cleaning System That Can Fly
Unlike conventional drones equipped with simple spraying systems, the VastArrive D15R combines an aerial platform with a ground-based high-pressure water supply system.
The drone is powered by a 14S 22000mAh battery, while cleaning water is delivered through a ground pump and approximately 100 meters of high-pressure hose. Separating the flight power system from the water supply allows the drone to remain relatively lightweight while maintaining a continuous high-pressure water supply.
The D15R can deliver water pressure of up to 20 MPa (200 bar) and is equipped with an approximately 1.5-meter cleaning boom. This configuration allows the operator to cover a relatively large cleaning area while adjusting the cleaning approach according to the surface and application.
For this project, the D15R was used for three different cleaning tasks: solar panel cleaning, deep slate roof cleaning, and gutter cleaning.

Project Workflow
From Site Preparation to Final Cleaning
Two operators arrived at the property with one service vehicle.
Before takeoff, the team used the onboard 4K camera to inspect the surrounding environment and identify the roof boundaries and relevant restricted areas. The ground pump was then positioned, and the 100-meter high-pressure hose was deployed.
The measured wind speed at the site was approximately 4 m/s, and the operating conditions were considered suitable for the planned work.
Once the preparation was complete, the D15R began the cleaning operation.
Solar Panel Cleaning
The first task was cleaning the rooftop solar PV array.
The system consisted of 24 solar panels, covering approximately 40 m², with a total capacity of approximately 9.6 kWp.
The D15R positioned the cleaning boom over the solar array and used controlled high-pressure water to remove dirt and surface deposits from the panels.
Slate Roof Deep Cleaning
The second task was deep cleaning of the approximately 320 m² slate roof.
Unlike the solar panels, the slate roof required a more intensive cleaning approach to remove accumulated moss, lichen, and other deposits.
The D15R moved the cleaning boom across the roof area while delivering high-pressure water from the ground pump, allowing the cleaning operation to be performed without requiring workers to carry out the main cleaning work directly on the roof.
Gutter Cleaning
The final task was gutter cleaning and flushing.
The cleaning method was adjusted according to the requirements of the gutter area, allowing the same D15R system to handle multiple cleaning tasks during a single project.

Project Results
2 Hours and 15 Minutes from Setup to Completion
The complete operation, including site preparation and cleaning, took approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
The longest single flight lasted approximately 52 minutes.
According to the project data, the D15R cleaning solution cost approximately €380, compared with a traditional cleaning quotation of approximately €1,400.
| Project Item | Result |
|---|---|
| Cleaning Area | Approx. 320 m² |
| Solar PV System | 9.6 kWp |
| Solar Panel Area | Approx. 40 m² |
| Water Pressure | Up to 20 MPa |
| High-Pressure Hose | 100 m |
| Longest Single Flight | 52 min |
| Total On-Site Time | Approx. 2 h 15 min |
| D15R Project Cost | Approx. €380 |
| Traditional Cleaning Quote | Approx. €1,400 |
The project demonstrated the potential of high-pressure cleaning drones to reduce site preparation requirements, limit the need for personnel to work at height, and improve operational efficiency for multi-surface cleaning projects.
Why D15R for High-Altitude Cleaning?
The D15R is not simply a drone equipped with a water sprayer. It combines a flying platform, ground-based high-pressure pump, long-distance high-pressure hose, and cleaning boom into an integrated high-altitude cleaning solution.
For villas, commercial buildings, solar installations, and other elevated surfaces requiring regular maintenance, this configuration can reduce reliance on conventional scaffolding and direct work-at-height operations while allowing one system to handle multiple cleaning applications.
D15R can be used for:
- Building Facade Cleaning: High-rise building and building facade cleaning.
- Solar Panel Cleaning: Rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV cleaning.
- Roof Cleaning: Cleaning of slate roofs, tiled roofs, and other building roof surfaces.
- Gutter Cleaning: Gutter flushing and cleaning.
- Wind Turbine Cleaning: Cleaning of wind turbine blades and leading-edge areas.
From Luxembourg to European Cleaning Applications
The Luxembourg project demonstrates how the D15R can be applied to residential and building maintenance operations in Europe.
For elevated surfaces that are difficult to access using conventional cleaning equipment or require work-at-height operations, a high-pressure cleaning drone provides an alternative equipment configuration.
By combining continuous water supply from a ground-based pump with aerial positioning and a cleaning boom, the D15R can reach elevated areas without the need to install large-scale scaffolding, while allowing the cleaning method to be adjusted for different surfaces.
For high-rise cleaning, solar panel maintenance, roof washing, and other elevated cleaning applications, D15R brings high-pressure cleaning to areas that are difficult to reach with conventional equipment.
