Transporting Fresh Produce from Mountainous Areas: Solving the Problem of Getting Agricultural Products Out of the Mountains

The client’s local orchards are mostly located on slopes at altitudes of 800-1200 meters. Traditional transportation relies on manual carrying or small agricultural vehicles navigating winding mountain roads. A one-way trip from the orchard to the cold chain collection point at the foot of the mountain takes 2-3 hours. After harvesting, fruit spoilage due to bumps and high temperatures reaches 12%, and landslides frequently disrupt transportation during the rainy season. To solve the problem of “difficulty in getting fresh produce out of the mountains,” the local agricultural cooperative, in conjunction with logistics companies, has established a low-altitude drone logistics network.
