On November 30, at the construction site of the tower assembly for the 110 kV power transmission and transformation project in Chongqing, Chongqing Electric Power Company piloted the use of heavy-load drones in power grid construction for the first time in China. The pilot transportation was located in a hilly area, with a flight altitude of 300 meters and a straight-line distance of 3.4 kilometers. It took 12 minutes for the drone to take off and return to the destination. Overcoming severe weather, it took 48 minutes to complete the transportation of 880 kilograms of tower materials through four lifting trips. The transportation process was fast, stable and safe.
